Help victims of a house fire
Donation protected
On May 5th 2018, a deadly house fire broke out in my cousin Maritza and Jovani's home in Humboldt Park. The fire took two of their sons and severely injured the rest of the family including her brother, Ivan.
Yohel, who just turned 8 in April and his younger brother Yadel (3) both passed away. The youngest of 18 months, Yovani is still fighting for his life.
Our cousins, Maritza (mom to the boys) and her husband Jovani, as well as Maritza's brother, Ivan are in critical condition.
As the entire family reels from this tragedy and prays that baby Yovanni, Maritza, Jovani and Ivan are out of immediate danger, we are also having to face the reality of arranging a funeral for young Yohel and Yadel, and to begin thinking of relocation for the family.
Maritza and Jovani, and our family will never recover from such a loss, but we'd like to ask for your generosity to help our cousin's family with the inevitable funeral and medical expenses that come with any tragedy of this magnitude.
No amount is too small and any donation would go directly to Maritza, Jovani and their family.
