Our Pup Needs Life Saving Surgery

My name is Adam. My girlfriend (Alycia) and I blessed our lives 2 years ago with a wonderful addition to the family - a newborn shihtzu we named Beauty. She very quickly became a very joyous and wonderful member of the family, with her playful nature and friendliness towards everyone she met. We both have children, but this dog has become like another child to us. We love her dearly, as most pet owners do.

Recently, Beauty has begun showing odd symptoms - she was peeing and pooping much more than usual, and just wasn't her usual self. We decided to take her to the vet today, and were given some shocking news. Beauty has an immeasurable amount of bladder stones, severely blocking her bladder from properly functioning. Some are nearly the size of the bladder itself. The vet informed us that it is crucial we get a surgery done as soon as possible to have thr stones removed and her bladder flushed, or she could die. However, the vet is not offering payment plans, nor are any other local vets that we have spoken to, and we simply cannot afford what they're asking. We both have children to provide for and income is extremely tight, so this is why we need to reach out to the community for anyone who can find it in their hearts to help. We can't give up on our little pup.

I've never been one to ask for favours, especially monetary. But we don't want to lose our dog. She's an amazing animal that we love dearly, and she's only two years old. So we ask, if anyone can help us pay this bill and get her the life-saving surgery she needs, we would be eternally grateful. We were told it could come to or above $2,500 plus taxes, and we have already racked up $300 in initial exams and x-rays. All we ask is to hopefully meet our goal of $3,000. Should the surgery be any less than that, we promise to donate all remaining proceeds to an animal charity or shelter. We have not decided on which one, as our focus is primarily on getting Beauty the treatment she needs.
