Chennai and many parts of Tamil Nadu are seeing some of the worst rainfall and subsequent floods in over 100 years. The amount of damage caused was unprecedented.  Many parts of the city and state has come to a standstill. Tens and thousands of people have been stranded, with no access to food, electricity and other basic amenities. There is an immediate need for many of these basic amenties, including dry clother and drinking water.

As a native of Chennai, I want to raise some funds and distribute via well known and reputed organization Sevalya.org. I have worked with Sevalaya on many initiatives over the past couple of years. Sevalaya plans to use the funds to provide food, shelter, basic amenities and also help in the reconstuction efforts. 

Appreciate if you can help and support our efforts to help the people in Tamil Nadu. Any small contribution helps. Please be assured, we will take due diligence and care in making sure the donated money is used for the right purpose. Sevalaya will share and provide updates on how they are using the funds, including pictures.
