Medical Expenses For My Son

I am a United States Navy veteran whose son is a victim of a senseless crime in Virginia Beach, Virginia on December 2, 2016.  This crime has cost my son his eye sight and the ability to effectly care for himself.  He is a loving son, dedicated father, and friend who has suffered, as well as his family, from this tradgic crime.  We're looking for donations to assist us with his medical bills, medical transportation (Florida),  and family.  Their has been various "Go Fund Me" accounts developed with the intent to falsely collect funds due to my son's injuries.  My family and I would like to thank you all in advance for any donations on Isaac's behalf.

Update. (28 January 2017):

Good morning, I would like to provide you all with an update on the status of our son. After approximately seven weeks his health conditions has gradually improved. Your prayers and contributions has definitely assisted with the emotional support and expenses (both medical & personal) incurred as a result of this incident. My family would definately like to say thank you all in advance for your prayers and support that you all have shown my family. I pray that we will continue to receive both prayers and donations throughout Isaac's recovery process. Again, we thank you all and stand by for continuous updates on his status and recovery phase.

Update (16 June 2017):

     Good afternoon, we would like to provide you all an update on Isaac's status.  First, we would like to Thank everyone for their prayers which provided emotional support to our entire family.  We ask that you all please continue to send your prayers up because GOD is continuously performing miracles through Isaac everyday.

     Secondly, we are very greatful and appreciative for all the donations we have recieved which provided financial support that continuously assist with both medical and personal expenses (i.e. medication, medical supplies, doctor's visits, etc) incurred as a result of this tragedy.      
     Since Isaac's discharge from the hospital in April, he has shown continued improvement.  At this time, he is currently going through intense physcial, occupational and speech therapy to increase his strength and mobility required to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

     We Thank You all in advance for your prayers and support.  People change your life in an instant for their selfish gain.  Hate is so prevelant in our world today. They have changed all of our lives in the blink of an eye.   As a family we hurt daily, but our FAITH comfort us through those dark times.  GOD has blessed us with more precious time with Isaac in which is a blessing.  We pray that GOD touches everyone and reveal the truth about this incident surrounding our son and brother.

Hello Everyone,

     GOD has continued to Bless our family with the presence of our beloved son and brother. Isaac is showing continuous improvements; his strength, mobility, and most of all Determination towards his recovery is something miraculous and to be admired to say the least. This was a horrific, terrifying, and senseless act of violence against our son and the other victims. But we know all Glory is to be given to our Father in Heaven and to all the hard working healthcare workers who continue to provide their expertise in assisting our son to full recovery.

     His love for music is tenacious and that’s one of the most important things that keeps him motivated daily. He was trying so hard to get into the music industry by uploading his music to Sound Cloud for others to enjoy.

     Since our last update, Isaac has completed the Brook’s Rehabilitation One Mile Challenge with the support of family and friends. Most of us take walking, talking, and seeing for granted and we must admit we did too. But when you are faced with these real-life challenges that we took for granted before; you soon realize how special these simple but important gifts from GOD are.

     When we made our plans for life, the Lord showed us His. So, we show up as a family and do what is needed no matter what and it is not easy but our son is sooo worth it. We are really Blessed to still have Isaac with us. We wish he could see what we see and be able to connect in that way, but he can’t right now. And although he can’t he still has laughter in his heart and a smile on his face everyday.
    
     So, we ask that you continue to provide Spiritual support and donations to assist with Isaac’s medical needs (supplies/bills).

     We would also like to express our gratitude to family, friends and supporters and ask that you all keeping our family in your prayers. Have a safe and Happy Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day and 4th of July.
