3 Young Lives Lost- Nelson House MB
Donation protected
On the evening of April 28th, 2018, tragedy struck the small Cree Nation of Nisichawayasihk - a Northern Manitoba Reserve (Nelson House).
On a dark highway, leading into the small Reserve a vehicle collided with three young boys, walking and riding a bicycle. Sadly, they were pronounced dead on scene.
Today, the Community of Nelson House and the families of Kethan Lobster (11), Mattheo Moore (11) and Terrence Spence (13) mourn the tragic and sudden loss of their Sons, Brothers, Nephews and Grandsons.
This GoFundMe page has been created in hopes of raising money for memorial headstones, wake and funeral costs. As well as possibly getting lights to light the highway where they lost their lives and to build safe biking trails on Reserve, as biking in the spring and summer is popular among the Youth.
Alcohol is said to be a factor in this devastating tragedy. Any amount is appreciated beyond measurement.
Thank you
My name is Tori Yetman, I am an immediate cousin to Keethan Lobster, and fellow community member of Terrence Spence and Mattheo Moore. I am from Nelson House, Manitoba, but currently reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I intend on using these funds to help the affected families get memorial headstones for their sons. When I withdraw these funds, I will be meeting with my Chief and Council members in Nelson House, we will be in contact with Brookside Memorials in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We will be making Cheques to Brookside for the families, after they choose how to decorate the headstones. With the remaining money, after the headstones are kid for, we will be meeting again with Chief and Council and the families to see what exactly we would like to do. For example, maybe a skate park to keep the children off of the main roads. Until these plans are set, I will be putting the money in our Band account with our Community Lawyer so that it is safe.
