MISSING LOVED ONES! Family and Friends of The Imperial San Dunes and Joshua Tree Area! I have two missing friends that we believe headed to the Imperial Sand Dunes and then Joshua Tree on Saturday to go camping for the weekend. Both of them Aaron Morganstein and Masha Mitkov were expected to be back for work on Monday Morning and never showed up to either of their jobs.
These people are extraordinary, intelligent, kind, unique, and bring joy to so many people's lives. Please help us find them!
So far a Police Report has been filed in Los Angeles. Our investigator put in a request at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department to do a search and rescue of the area. So far they have only been able to send 3 rangers out to Joshua Tree to look for Aaron's vehicle at all the major camp sites and parking areas. They have not sent a Helicopter because they do not know where to look and can't without specific areas to search for them.
I am trying to organize a search party and collect camping tools such as Compass' and CB radio/Walkie's to help us find our way. We would greatly appreciate the help.
Aaron was last seen heading out of LA with Masha in a 2012 Blue Suburu with license plate #6PRH231 or #7PHK773. One of those license plates is his old car but not sure which one is the newest plate. Their direction was aimed for Joshua Tree but Masha had a surprise destination within that area.
Last purchase from them was at a gas station at Cabazon Fuel Center, Cabazon CA (Time Unknown). The last ping that the local phone towers picked up was from 34225 Key Largo Ave Rancho Mirage toward Palm Springs desert (Time Unknown).

This Gofundme was created by Justin Samenfeld, Jake Smith, and Briana Gonzales of Los Angeles, California to raise money for the search and rescue of Aaron Morganstein and Masha Mitkova. Aaron and Masha are two extraordinarily bright, family-oriented, loving individuals who come from WONDERFUL families. They are good-natured, honest, sweet, peaceful, highly intelligent, creative and genuine people who brighten up the lives of everyone around them.
We are very close friends with both, as well as their familes, and have been working nonstop to find them within our own limited means. Upon realizing that the authorities were about as helpful as a bucket of sand at the beach, we took it upon ourselves to walk away from our personal lives and responisibilities and focus all of our time and effort on finding our friends. Nothing else matters to us at this point, and finding them has become our main purpose in life.
We cannot simply sit back and wait for the police department to sit around and make phone calls for 2 weeks. Aaron and Masha could be stranded, waiting to be found and running out of time. There is no time, and certainly no reason to wait.
This is a matter of life and death, and we refuse to sit idly by as their families worry and suffer waiting for phone calls from our broken government. For those of you who can't come and help, here is your opportunity to help in another way.
Aaron and Masha saved my life once, but not without the help of their awesome families. I will gladly give everything I have to save these people. I can't imagine a world without them and I refuse to live in one.
We're finally receiving your generous donations. My brother Jakeob Smith who I trust very much, who has been helping me search since we started, has been placed in charge of the funds while I deal with commanding the search. We will be increasing our search efforts 10 fold through the use of these funds as soon as we're able to.
Jake is calm, pragmatic, mathematical, unbias and good with money. It was all of our decision to put him in charge of finances.
