Ellie's Light

Ellie has autism, mild cerebral palsy, apraxia, and a cyst in her brain.She has come such a long way from just 2 years ago. Of course, she still has struggles but after spending her first 4 months in and out of hospitals, blood tests, bili-blankets/beds..she's incredibly intelligent and loving.
Lately she's been having trouble adjusting with a recent move, away from family and her teacher. My goal is to make homemade candles to help provide Miss Ellie with a "go to" calming activity. She's the happiest, most loving kid you'll ever meet. The plan is to sell these homemade candles and donate to autism research and Children's Hospital of Atlanta, where she had the best therapy that taught her how to make eye contact, learn sign language as a door to becoming verbal, and learned that she had the power to become independent. I'm hoping to provide Ellie with something of her own that she makes herself (with help), that her siblings aren't involved in. That way she can have this one thing that is solely "hers"!
