*Update* On Wednesday, 11th May Lindsey got some terrible news. Her cancer has also spread to both shoulders, her pelvis and her right thigh. Please please donate and help Lindsey and her family make some beautiful, lasting memories <3
On Monday 17th April, I heard some terrible news, my friend Lindsey Gates was diagnosed with 4 inoperable brain tumours, after years of fighting this terrible illness she finally began to rebuild her life with her beautiful children and faithful partner.
Lindsey's story is a heart breaking one and now she is loosing her battle and her life. Lindsey first got breast cancer in 2010 whilst pregnant with second child had a lumpectomy followed by six courses of chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiotherapy and a year of herceptin. In 2012 she had her ovaries out to reduce the amount of oestrogen in her body. In April 2015 following a routine mammogram, she was diagnosed with a different type of cancer in the same breast which was in the milk duds. She had a single mastectomy and six courses of chemotherapy and started herceptin but that was stopped early due to heart problems from the herceptin. On Saturday 16th of April she had a brain seizure and was rushed to hospital and has been diagnosed with 4 inoperable brain tumours, which now means she is terminally ill. Depending on how she reacts to radiotherapy on the brain her prognosis is anything between 3 months to 3 years.
Now I know that Lindsey wants to take her children to Disney world before she passes away. Her youngest daughter is 6 a cheeky fun filled caring hectic imaginative little lady and she has a wonderful 14 year old sister who is coping better than any one wold dare to dream. The reason behind this is because I want them to have the trip of a lifetime together as a family I want them to cherish memories of fun and happy times with them all together. I am asking all of my friend and all of my family to support this family and give these kids the time of there life with there mum. Time is short we want to get them on that plane A.S.A.P so if any one would like to help please donate her! Big charities raise millions of pounds for families like Lindsey's, this is not a charity this is one family with one dream to do something amazing together for memories that will last her children a life time! A photo, a smile, a memory, a dream, a time to enjoy, a time to love and just be with each other!! I know we can do this! I know this story will touch all of your hearts I know people care. I know many of you will not know my friend but in supporting her and making her dream a reality you can know that YOU helped a little girl and her big sister experience a holiday of a life time with there mummy, and heartbreakingly a mummy that's not going to be here with her babies for as long as she should be, a mother who is loving and kind supportive and brave, a mother who really deserves the name title, a mother who is sadly having to say goodbye to her kids long before her time should be!! I hope to here from you all soon I hope to get this wonderful brave inspirational strong independent beautiful woman on a flight out of here with her family and I know that when they see that Disney Castle light up there hearts they will be thankful to each and everyone of you who help them get there! ❤❤
