Seth for Life

Our 19mth old grandson Seth had a cardiac arrest in our daughters arms 3 weeks ago. Luckily she knew CPR but he still had to be defibrillated. While waiting in Lady Cilento Hospital for the Doctors to conference around the world with other leading cardiac surgeons, to formulate a plan to fix his unique condition, he suffered another cardiac arrest & had to be defibrillated again. The surgeon Dr Nelson Alphonso decided they couldn't wait any longer and 2 days later he had ground breaking open heart surgery to save his life. Seth's right coronary artery was not connected at the start by 1.5cm, it was blushing into the right ventricle because of the separation and a fistula. It wasn't functioning correctly putting on strain on the left coronary artery which was trying to do all the work. As Seth grew the left coronary artery began to narrow as well. This condition was the first of it's kind to be found in one patient that any of the Dr's had seen & will probably ever see again. Medically & scientifically Seth heart should not of worked, let alone to 19mths happy & healthy until the sudden cardiac arrest. Both his parents have been by his side since this all happened.  At the moment they have no income & have been living at the hospital. They have used the last of their savings to buy an old caravan & annex to live in on our property when Seth is finally allowed to go home.  While reassembling the  caravan & annex it was found to need more materials and repair to make it liveable & safe for Seth & his parents. Seth will need a special machine for regular blood tests. Also Seth will have ongoing physio, medications & appointments with Dr's for the rest of his life. Any money raised will help to ease this stressful event and help care for Seth. He is our only grandchild & his parents only child. He is our little miracle & is in our lives & this world for a reason, against all the odds. Please help with what ever you can, Seth & ourselves will be eternally grateful.
