Donnie's Medical Bill Fund
This campaign is for my dad, Donnie Mann. My dad just turned 70 in the beginning of March. He's a Christian, a husband of nearly 47 years, a dad to 2 girls, a papa to 2 grandkids, a Vietnam Veteran, & a dang good friend to many.
On April 6 my dad went in for his liver biopsy results, and we learned he has inoperable Stage 4 cancer. It's in his liver, spine, & lungs. The tumors in his spine have grown so big they've fragmented & broken several vertebrae and are compressing his spinal cord preventing him from using his legs. Dad went through 3 days of chemo like a champ! A week later the feeling returned in his legs, but he's still unable to walk.
My dad has always been active, and seeing him unable to even wiggle his toes is heartbreaking. Because of his "paralysis" and unbearable stomach pain, Dad can't sit up. He's been forced to use an ambulance to get home from the hospital - a whopping $1000 one way. This is after a 13 day stay in the hospital. It is a gut-wrenching pain like no other seeing a loved one suffer needlessly. I've watched my dad suffer because he's needed something that would be available if he had the funds or if his insurance would cover it.
