Rosemary Quinn's Preemie Fund

Donation protected

On October 20th 2016 our world was turned upside down. Our daughter Rosemary Quinn Martinez was born at 33 weeks after mommy went into early labor and her water broke in the ambulance to Lansing Sparrow Hospital. We had no choice but to deliver. At 4:11am she was born weighing just over 4 pounds and was rushed to the RNICU. Everything seemed OK at first but then her skull and brain started swelling like a watermelon 12 hours after birth. She developed an infection in the tissue and the swelling forced her growth plates to overlap and create ridges that they don't know whether they will fade or not. Now Rosemary is showing symptoms of brain damage but the doctors cannot do the MRI with contrast to see the extent of the damage until she is a bit bigger due to having a bleeding condition. They are afraid it would blow her veins. Rosemary is now 3 pounds 15 ounces and is being moved to a specialty nursery center tomorrow where they can focus more on her brain. Mommy is a stay at home mom who is now recovering from tubal ligation while caring for my older siblings and spending all her time worrying about me and getting updates from the hospital staff. She is doing the only thing she can do for me right now and that is to pump her breast milk to help me grow. Daddy works midnights at a factory, and his income is going completely into gas to come see me at the hospital. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless
