 PORTSMOUTH, NH

As most of you know the Portsmouth Gas Light Restuarnt  unfortunatney had a fire the other day, yes three weeks before Christmas.
I have known Paul and his family for almost 30 years and I can't even begin to tell you how devastating this is to them and the wonderful staff they have.
This fund raising effort is to help all of them get through the hoilidays.
I know," yet another fund rasing effort" this time of year but this is very different.
Paul not only served in the New Hampshire Air Guard but  he and his family have always gone out of thier way too help the military and also the city of Portsmouth
I would ask you to donate whatever you can .
Thank you..

Paul has helped students visiting here in the summer, with housing and jobs- for no real personal benefit. Now it's time to help him and, most of all, his 100+ employees during the holidays.

We are in the season of kindness! Just four days before Christmas, the community and staff gathered as the result of a terrible tragedy leaving over 100 Gas Light employees out of work. For many them, their lives have been turned upside down. Twelve days ago, from the fire’s ashes, rose a community of souls with generous hearts. Hundreds, if not thousands, have reached out to help by offering temporary jobs, free meals, accommodations, gift certificates, personal time, donations, toys for tots, and a GoMeFund. The outreach, sometimes from total strangers, is overwhelming, and when I think about it, it brings tears to my eyes. We are all very fortunate to be a part of this City, as it is threaded together with caring people. We are the envy and inspiration to other communities, and I’m so proud to be a part of it for 27 years. At the Gas Light we think of ourselves as the top gathering spot, and soon we will be back stronger and better than before. Thank you all for your support, and may you have a safe and joyous holiday season!
