Terry L. Byrd  SEYMOUR, IN

My name is Terry Byrd. I portray a creepy horror host named Riggor Mortiss. In mid-2014, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor called a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (G.I.S.T.). This thing was as big as my head. I underwent surgery to have it removed, to no avail. It had attached itself to various organs and blood vessels. It was literally bleeding me dry.... feeding on my blood. I had a cess drainage hose and ostomy bag attached to me for a year and a half. Regular C.T. scans, labs and check up visits have caused bills to add up. Several thousands of dollars later, I'm unable to get them all paid, and collectors are calling for payment. I've tried to do a second job, but my energy level has dropped off from what it was. I'm the only one in the household that works. I work overtime at my current job when needed or when I can, but this tumor seems to have left me quite weak and vulnerable. Any "horror host" like Nyte Angel and I can tell you...we don't get any money from hosting, especially if they manage themselves and do all the things necessary to bring you our show. I am also on an expensive chemo drug called Gleevec, which insurance (thank goodness) is paying for.
I REALLY need some help. ANYTHING you do will be greatly appreciated.
FEEL FREE TO SHARE! THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!

I have 2 more Dr. Visits until I'm done with the gleevec chemo pills. The first is a P.E.T. scan, in which they inject sugars via I.V. while scan is in process. Apparently, sugars are attracted to cancer (if any is present). Then, a week later I discuss the results. Based on THAT visit, surgery may or may NOT be needed again to remove anything that was left.... Hopefully, nothing will be there. The oncologist then wants to see me twice a year to check up. I'm not out of the woods yet. All my teeth have dissolved, therefore I will have to get what's left removed, and then get false teeth. This stuff definitely is not easy. Thank you everyone for your support.

I have 2 more oncologist appointments.... One is for a PET scan (a CT scan with sugar given intravenously. Apparently, sugar is attracted to cancer, and will show up on the scan if any is there).... And a follow up appointment a week later to discuss findings and to possibly end the imatinib mesylate doses I take.... If they find any cancer left, or remnants of the former G.I.S.T. tumor, they will most likely suggest surgery....AGAIN.
Here's hoping that they find NOTHING there.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Nyte and I have the most AWESOME fanbase and friends!

Thank you to everyone who has donated, and all that will in the future. I never really understood how many bills follow cancer, nor did I understand how HIGH the amounts were. On CT scans alone, I've had at least ten, not even counting how many regular x-rays I've had taken. I wore an ostomy bag and a tube inserted into my side and abdomen for a year and a half. I KNOW how much those bags cost each. I'm so glad I don't need those any longer.
I figure all of you who are donating should see who I really am. Riggor Mortiss is an extension of myself. Riggor is my creepy side full blown! In our opinion (Nyte Angel and myself), there are two types of Horror.... One is sheer EVIL personified, and the other is cobwebs, creaky doors, coffins and creepy haunted houses...the latter is the category we fit. Small children are infatuated and entertained as well as adults, and we make sure each of our episodes are suitable for viewing for our children and grandchildren. We must keep this tradition alive. We will return to shooting episodes as soon as we can. In the meanwhile, enjoy what we've done, but we may surprise you in the future! Thank you all for getting this ol' Monster inspired to creep at it once again! We love you all!

Hi! It's Giving Tuesday (or so I've heard)..... If you can help me with these medical bills resulting from my bout with a G.I.S.T. cancerous tumor, I would be so very grateful. The bills include my exams, CT scans, anesthesiologist bill, my general surgeon's bill, my oncologist's bill, check ups, X-rays, hospitalization and more. That's only the beginning. There are several bills that have mounted up.... Everybody wants their payment, even if you're trying to get them whittled down. They've enlisted the help of those harassing collection agencies. So if you can, please help me. If you've ALREADY helped, THANK YOU so very much for all your help! I really need to get these paid down, so they don't garnish my wages.... I barely make enough as it is. That's why I'm asking for help!
