My friend Jacek came to New York from Poland to visit family and after two weeks began to experience dizziness and loss of balance. A trip to the emergency room resulted in the discovery of a brain mass. Due to the pressure of the flight, the mass erupted and there was ongoing bleeding. The doctors proceeded with brain surgery and during the surgery discovered two more brain tumors. PET/CT scans also revealed cancerous masses in both his lungs and liver. 

Due to the location of the brain masses, the only treatment available is the Gamma Knife procedure. This is a stereotactic radiosurgical device that is non-invasive. The procedure must be done as soon as possible to prevent his conditioning from worsening. As of now, he has impaired usage of his left arm and leg making it hard for him to function daily independently.
