Hi! This is my cousin who is looking forward to complete her Bachelor Degree in Nursing here in the States. ANY help will be appreciated!! She has a remarkable heart and a big desire to help others. Thanks! ~Nancy
This is her letter:
I'm Estefania Pirela, a 21 years-old Venezuelan. I trusted Jesus Christ as my savior in 2000. I was born in a Christian home and my parents are missionaries, I have always assisted to a church with my family and I have served the Lord through my violin in the worship ministery and I have also collaborated in the youth group of my church. I have also participated in some missionary trips to the Venezuelan jungle.
Since I was a kid, I always knew I wanted to study a career of health that could allow me to serve God through helping other people, not only physically but spiritually, so when I finished my high school, I started to study nursing at the Venezuelan Red Cross Nursing School and I'm about to receive my Associate degree.
In 2014, I decided that I wanted to persue the Bachelor Degree in the US, so it became a prayer request for me and my family. I finally applied to the Nursing Major Program provided by Pensacola Christian College in Florida. After submitting the required documents and taking the TOEFL exam, I was accepted! The only limitation was the full tution payment and to show financial support to receive the I-20 letter from the college and be able to apply for the student visa. At that point, my family was short for the tution funds: the economic and social situation in my country made it hard for us to get the rest of the money, there were, and still are, restrictions to obtain foreign currency. US Dollars cannot be purchased without goverment approval, and the few Venezuelans purchased them from the black market (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g294324-s601/Venezuela:Banks.And.Money.html)
Fast forward to 2016, I'm looking to transfer my studies from Venezuela to obtain the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at the Pensacola Christian College, they have honored my acceptance from a couple of years ago. I have been able to obtain most of the funds to cover the tution, but I'm now just a thousand dollars away from the total amount.
For this reason, I'm writing this letter to ask everyone who reads it to pray for God's guidance in my life and for provision so I can start my studies in September, 2016, if that's God's Will.

Mi nombre es Estefania Pirela, venezolana y tengo 21 años de edad. Acepté a Cristo como mi Salvador en el año 2000. Nací en un hogar cristiano, con padres misioneros; siempre me he congregado en una iglesia y por un tiempo estuve sirviendo a Dios a través de la alabanza tocando el violín y también en el ministerio de jóvenes. He participado en varios viajes misioneros a la selva. Desde temprana edad Dios me guio a estudiar una carrera en el área de la salud, que me permitiera servirle a Dios ayudando a otros, no sólo físicamente sino espiritualmente, así que cuando terminé mis estudios en la escuela secundaria, empecé a estudiar Enfermería en la Cruz Roja Venezolana, y estoy a punto de graduarme como Técnico Superior en Enfermería. Desde hace dos años aproximadamente, he sentido el deseo de estudiar enfermería en los Estados Unidos debido a que quiero obtener un nivel de estudio más alto, así que eso se convirtió en un motivo de oración para mí y para mis padres; finalmente apliqué en el programa de enfermería que ofrece Pensacola Christian College en Florida, mandé los documentos que me solicitaban y también presenté el TOEFL, y eventualmente, fui aceptada por la universidad, pero debido a la situación social y a la crisis económica que estamos viviendo en mi país, no hemos podido lograrlo debido al control de divisas que hay en Venezuela; no se nos permite adquirirlas y los dólares para estudiantes están suspendidos, y debido a estas limitantes escribo esta carta para pedirle a todo aquel que la lea, que por favor esté ayudándome en oración para que el Señor me guíe y me pueda proveer de los recursos que necesito para estudiar y servirle como Misionera Enfermera, y ayudar de esta forma a nuestra comunidad latina, ayúdame para comenzar a estudiar en septiembre del 2016, si así es la Voluntad del Señor.
