Moving and School Fund

Hello,

My name is Nicole Rivera, and I am currently trying to raise any money that I can so that I can move to Florida, as well as hopefully pay for some of my daughter's school needs.

I currently live in Puerto Rico, which if you've seen the news lately is not the best place at the moment financially. I'm a single mother with no help from the father, and I am in a huge struggle. I've had to give up my teaching job because it was over one and half hours away, and I worked for minimun wage. There was even a month where they said "Sorry, we can't pay you this month." I couldn't even afford to buy my daughter a toy when she wanted one, and it makes me feel like i'm failing my daughter. I live in a studio apt. with my daughter and space is just one of the many problems with the area i'm living in.

I'm a Graphic Desiger/Illustration Artist by trade, and in Puerto Rico there are no sustainable jobs nor a future with that career, and thus I had to make a desperate desicion to move. It's a huge change and with barely any money, I'm doing my best to make it a reality, but i'm just about out of funds and I haven't even left yet. I am trying my hardest and praying to god to give me strength, because I KNOW it is the right decision. I know that I can provide much more of a future for my daughter and that is all I really want; That is my sole reason for doing all of this. She deserves so much more and it breaks my heart and soul that I cannot provide her that which she needs.

Someone told me to reach out on this website, and so I am begging for help. Please, if there is anything that anyone could spare, it would be amazing. My daughter and I would be eternally grateful to your kindness.
