Chiropractic Mission Trip

My name is Mary Garrett and for the past 2 years I have been attending Life Chiropractic College West in the San Francisco Bay Area. The experience of chiropractic school has been one of the most challenging and gratifying experiences of my life. I am approaching my third year of this graduate program and I am ready to bring my abilities into the real world. In order to practice and develop the artistry and understanding of what chiropractic is to me, I have been training and studying the best in our profession. One thing I want to do that will further my learning experience is travel abroad on a mission trip with my teachers and peers. On these mission trips, a group of students travel where chiropractic is needed most. Previous mission trips abroad to India, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Fiji, and Haiti have provided free care to those who may otherwise have no access to any health services. Chiropractic is the only health profession that practices an individualized, hands on, drug free approach to patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment. On these trips, our resident practicing chiropractors hold free clinics where locals come to learn about health, receive life altering adjustments, and get free physical exams. Thousands of patients are reached on these chiropractic mission trips. This would give me the opportunity to practice spreading the word of chiropractic and give me the hands on experience I could never attain in the classroom setting. These mission trips provide real chiropractic service that can change people’s lives and will simultaneously enrich my understanding of the human body. I am ready to bring my adjusting skills into the real world. There is no better way to do that then to serve amongst my peers where chiropractic is needed most!


Why I need your help: 
As a student living primarily on loans, it is imperative for me to raise sufficient funds to make any service trip a reality. The fees for the trip would cover flights, ground transportation, lodging, and food. Other expenses I have covered myself to help me prepare for a service trip are; training seminars, portable chiropractic table, and adjusting instruments. Please help me to my goal of being able to serve the global community and share my passion for chiropractic. I know that the opportunity to go on a mission trip will further ignite my passion and drive me to be the best chiropractor I can be.



Help me bring chiropractic around the globe! Any amount helps bring me closer to my dream of providing health. The next mission trip is in March to the islands of Fiji. For 10 days I would be providing free chiropractic care to up to 100 people a day. The President has expressed his interest in us coming and has set up a meeting to talk about why Fiji needs chiropractic. How cool is that?! Local elementary schools are even being bused to our location to recieve our hands on care. This is the best time to spread the benefits of our health profession. The world needs more chiropractic, and I want to give it. Thank you for any contributions and support towards my goal.
