OUR DESIREE HAS GOT THIS.

This is Desiree Massaro and her mom Grace. On September 30th 2016, after experiencing painful headaches and difficulty in her speech, Desiree was brought to the Emergency Room. After a C-Scan and MRI, Desiree was told she had two "Brain Tumors" and there was swelling that was affecting her speech and senses. After further testing, it was clear to her treating physicians that the tumors needed to be removed immediately and also, that based on all the testing markers, the tumors were likely cancer. Yesterday, October 18th 2016, what we hoped and prayed for, did not come to be. Desiree's tumors, although over 95% removed through surgery, are indeed Cancer and furthermore has been categorized as "High Grade" Desiree is 47 years old, a single mother of a 19 year old college student, Michael, and recently was offered and accepted her dream opportunity position with United Capital Corporation of Great Neck, A real estate Management Company. Sadly, Desiree has only been employed at U.C.C. for three months. Desiree lives in Hicksville with her son Michael and fiancé John, who also was diagnosed with debilitating stage 3C Colon Cancer and recently completed a very aggressive protocol of chemotherapy. Desiree was currently the financial provider given the health, Cancer diagnosis and treatments her fiancé was required to have. Both Desiree's and John's families as well as friends have been so generous and have assisted the family any possible way they could. While very new and still emotionally difficult, Desiree is preparing for the aggressive treatment combination of chemotherapy and every day Radiation for seven weeks. This will require her being driven back and forth each day to her radiation treatments and her many appointments. It is the goal of her physicians and the hope of her family and friends to help Desiree not only get better but to assist her in having an opportunity to return to work and return her and her family to the "everyday life" that so many of us who have either won their battle against cancer or those of us not immediately inflicted by this horrible disease. This assistance will help Desiree and her family offset the costs of medical care not covered or that require high co-pays, as well as helping them with the everyday expenses a family has, that now will be very difficult or nearly impossible to cover.   Thanking everyone in advance for your consideration during this very difficult time.
