Paying back a loan

Recently, I was called by a lawyer about a Loan Company that felt I was fraud them back in 2017, this was when I was in California going to school. Problem was I was coaxed into having to get this loan to pay rent due to how I got paid for going to school from the people I had stayed with, the rent was always $2150 a month, $1000 for the rent and the rest of it was for food, transportation, and bills for the phone since I couldn't pay off my own phone bill, reason I couldn't cause this amount was taking what I had each start of the next month, it was harder to get school supplies. This was especially due to how my semesters worked. They tried to get me to get more loans, but they never went through cause I couldn't pay off my rent and I struggled with many of my classes when I couldn't get the supplies I needed cause I never had enough to get them.

Now I need to pay back $2500 back to the loan company because if I don't, I'll be charged me and I cannot afford it since I currently have no income, I've been out looking for a steady job and it's been difficult since I no longer live in California, I had to move back to Florida after I got upset with the people I was living with because I felt I was being cheated out of my funds for schooling to better take care of myself cause I had trusted them at the time.

I have until the end of March next month since I told my story to the lawyer about the situation because I was honest about the situation and how it came to be.
