Freska's Doctor Bill

Freska is our much-loved dog. I inherited Freska from my parents when I moved to the country and was able to take her. She is way too much dog for my 75-year-old parents. I was very happy to do this for my parents, however, as a single mom, I am on a very limited budget.
Freska (the dog), and her buddy Grievous (the cat) are best of friends. So close in fact, that when General Grievous catches a bird or a rodent, Freska takes it upon herself to help eat it.
Unfortunately, this caused great digestive issues with Freska and she had to be rushed to the vet with a very serious digestive issue. She was arching her back in serious pain and couldn't eat or go to the bathroom for 3 days.
The vet found bones that wouldn't pass in her colon. The vet tried an enema in hopes that the bones would pass. Unfortunately, they did not pass so they had to sedate her and manually extract the bones from her colon.
Instead of the $200 quote, the additional sedation and manual extraction brought our bill to $500. This meant that we had to choose the dog's life, or electricity and a roof over our heads.
As my 75-year-old parents are on a fixed income and were at the time out of the area, I had no recourse but to agree to the vet situation.
Now, the bills are due. Anything that anyone could donate would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
Steps have been taken to ensure that Freska no longer shares her best friends catch! We have thoroughly discussed with her the importance of her dietary options and how the right choices will keep her healthy. That, along with not allowing her to wander about freely without proper supervision ensure that this will never happen again.
