"Our mother was a wonderful artist and poet, and she loved to bake and often made beautiful cakes to gift to people. She loved working with children and being called “Miss Bonnie” reminded her fondly of her days of being a preschool teacher. Her favorite flowers are gardenia and jasmine, and she loved having them in her garden and around the house. She loved and found joy in the small things in life, like getting to have tea and toast for breakfast or getting to have movie nights with all her children."

Hello and thank you to everyone taking the time to visit and read this page for my mother Bonnie Jo.
My name is Jojo, the eldest of her seven children, and I am here requesting much needed financial support for my mother. January of this year at the age of 58, she was diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer that had made its way to her liver. She was only given until the end of the year at best, even with treatment. We are still healing from our dad’s passing little over a year ago at the age of 57, and a cancer diagnoses was the last thing we were expecting. The doctors told us this was a freak cancer that was not genetic nor caused by external elements, it just appeared and there was little we could do.
Since her diagnoses, we did what we could to make her comfortable and happy. Unfortunately, in the last few weeks, her condition worsened as the cancer had spread to her other organs.
Our mother was a wonderful woman. She has been our rock, our council, and our best friend. She was all we had left after our father’s sudden passing. For the past few months, we watched as the cancer took over her body, there was little we could do to help except be there for her and comfort her.
I and three of my sisters work while going through school at Texas A&M. Since our mother’s diagnoses, we faced a difficult time and are struggling to cover the medical costs since she was unable to register for health insurance. Now that she has passed, we want to raise the funds so that we can provide her with the proper funeral she deserves. Please help us do this last service to our mother.
We are looking to raise the money so that we may cover the cost of her funeral, and as much of the medical bills as possible, since we still are in debt from our father's expenses. Over the years, she has given so much to us and to those whose lives she has touched. She raised seven children and cared for our father by treating him with dialysis at home to keep him comfortable during his last years. She was a teacher to little children who are now in their late 20s and 30s, they still called her ‘teacher Bonnie’. I knew no other woman with more strength, kindness, love, and enduring patience than my mother, her absences will always be felt. She will be missed terribly.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your kindness and generosity. Please donate what you can and know that any amount will provide comfort and peace of mind to the lives of her children. If we make it past our needed goal, we will use the remaining funds to help cover any additional hospital, medical, and miscellaneous bills. We appreciate your generous donations.
