Levi's Medical Fund
Hello, my name is Ana Garcia, and this handsome boy is Levi! He is 5 years old and an English Bulldog!
Levi enjoys meeting new people and giving lots of cuddles(and hair!) and love. He's the sweetest dog you will ever meet and while he looks a little scary, this big goofball couldn't even hurt a fly!
Levi loves to play and roll around in the grass! When he's tired from a long day of play, he loves to sleep and relax on his favorite solo couch.
But Levi's been having some trouble lately. Bald patches started appearing on his back. At first we thought it was from bumping himself whenever he would go under my mother's bed, but they started to get worse. His skin would get bumpy and scabby and sometimes, if he did bump himself, his bald patches would start to bleed.
As if that wasn't enough, Levi's ears had gotten imflamed, red, rough and scabby-looking. We cleaned his ears frequently and applied dog-safe lotion to keep his ears moisterized, but they didn't seem to get much better.
After a lot of worrying, I gathered as much money as I could and took Levi to the clinic today to seek the advice of a veterinarian. That was when my fears were confirmed.
It's very likely that Levi has an ear infection and his skin might have an infection as well. The vet thinks it could also be allergy related as Levi's eyes were slightly discolored and teary. Levi also checked out to have a slight fever, so he wasn't able to get any temperment and preventative shots other than the Rabies shot that he had gotten back in 2015.
I was only able to pay for his checkup and vet scope to check his ears(104$ in total), but Levi needs to get checked and possibly hospitalized for a skin biospy, ear cleaning and flushing, and culture gatherings. That's not including the costs for anibiotics and treatment once everything has been figured out.
Luckily, everyone at the clinic was nice enough to give me a quote for a majority of what Levi needs done so he can be happy and healthy again.
Any money donated through this GoFundMe page will go towards Levi's medical bills and treatments while he is taken care of by the clinic. Any money left over will be used only for any other medical expenses in the future so that Levi stays happy and healthy in the long run! We'll even donate it to other dogs like Levi who are in need of medical treatment if we go way over our goal!
Because ear and skin infections can get worse and worse over time, the sooner we can get Levi treated, the better. It would mean so much to us and Levi to get him treated, but vet bills can get really expensive and we just don't have enough resources right now.
