Save beautiful baby Faith

My name is Chizoro Willliams and on behalf of the Save Baby Faith Group, I am raising £20000.00 for one and half year old Baby Faith Friday from Nigeria who has been diagnosed with Retinoblastoma (Rb) which is a rare form of cancer that rapidly develops from the immature cells of a retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye. It is the most common malignant cancer of the eye in children, and it is almost exclusively found in young children. Though most children survive this cancer, they may lose their vision in the affected eye(s) or need to have the eye removed. Almost half of children with retinoblastoma have a hereditary genetic defect associated with retinoblastoma. In other cases, it is caused by a congenital mutation in the chromosome 13 gene.

From the photograph you can see that the tumour has advanced and is now life threatening if not treated urgently. She has no doubt lost her sight, but we can save her life and rehabilitate her and improve her quality of life with the funds collected.

The plan is to initially and as a matter of urgency begin her treatment in Nigeria. And perhaps at a later date, explore the possibility of bringing her abroad for further treatment, if necessary.
