Funeral services for Jennifer Cohen

My name is Andrew Lavin. My sister, Jennifer Cohen was brutally murdered in cold blood in a park in Brooklyn NY on September 30th, by a man who has not yet been identified. Our family does not have the money to pay for the high cost of funeral services, and there is no life insurance. This devastating situation has the whole family in shock and we don't know how we are going to pay to give my sister the dignified service that she deserves. Jennifer leaves behind two boys who she loved dearly. It is very stressful to think about the possibility of there being no funeral for my sister and having her buried in potter's field, where people are forgotten. The city treats potter's field like it's a dump. Many families rely upon the funeral service to get closure for the loss of a loved one, and to think that the family and friends of Jennifer, and especially her two sons may not get that closure is very painful for all of us. I am posting this campaign in hopes that we can raise enough money to allow my sister the funeral and memorial service that she deserves, and to allow her family and friends the closure that they deserve, and a chance to say goodbye.
