Our names are Kailey Dowd and Brianna Snedeker, we are senior nursing students at the University of Maine. We are organizing the first annual 5k run in honor of Nicole Langlois, a former UMaine swimmer who lost her battle to Breast Cancer on 9/15/16.
We have partnered with Make-A-Wish foundation with hopes to fund an entire wish for a local Maine family. Our goal is to raise $7,000. We are partnering with the School of Nursing at the University of Maine, Orono Student Nurse's Association, and the UMaine Swim team to make the race possible.
We are going to need as much help from the community as possible to fully fund this wish. All of the procedes from the race and through donations will be donated. Please consider donating to our cause, any amount helps! Thank you in advance.
The 5k will be held on 10/30/16 at the Univeristy of Maine campus. Registration begins at 9:00am and the race will start at 10:00am. A $20 registration fee will be required per person, please see the following link for additional race details:
