"Run Against Domestic Violence" 5K
Moberly Area Technical Center DECA students, Austin Sly, Kaia Saunders, and Rebekah Squires are holding a 5K to raise awareness for domestic violence. Each year, DECA students create a project in which they take to competition. This year, these students teamed up to raise awareness for a topic in which some cases can be diffucult to speak on, domestic violence. The "Run Against Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk" proceeds, are being donated straight to Randolph County Safe Passage.
We understand that not everyone will be able to make it to the 5K, so now we have given this option of donating money here. We reliaze that not everyone has the funds that others may have, but we are hoping that each person who is unable to attend can still find a small amount to give.
2,000,000 injuries and 1,300 deaths are caused each year as a result of domestic violence. With the help of each other, the three of us DECA students hope to take action within the community and implemeant some sort of hope for domestic violence. We may not be able to change America, but we hope to impact Randolph County as whole.
We thank you for your contributions, and mostly are thankful for your support!
