A book for refugees in Germany

Donation protected
The last year and a half the subject refugees was always under discussion in Germany, which made me realize that people that migrate into new countries have so many difficulties to deal with. This realisation made me want to make this arrival into a new life easier for refugees, especially for children.
To do so, I dug up a book I wrote in 2007. It‘s a German/Arabic book, which is called "Meine Farbe" in Arabic " لوني", (in English "My Colour"). This book, was written by 10 year old me and commits itself with the subject  of being and accepting yourself. It is illustrated by the famous Egyptian artist Omar El Fayoumy. In 2007 my father Mohamed Hassane Ashour helped me publish this book and now I want to publish it again and donate it to children that come as refugees to Germany fleeing from war searching for a better life.
The purpose of this book is not only to make it easier for the children to learn German but to teach them that it is good to be yourself and that being yourself is what defines you and makes you special.
The money I am raising will be funding the entire book, which means this money will pay the print and 1000 copies for the beginning.
This means a lot to me because I‘ve heard enough stories of how bad some refugees are treated and I have also seen many many projects that supported refugees. I want to be part of this support system. I want to make children happy, I want them to feel welcome and I want them to learn to be proud of who they are, no matter what. That‘s what this book is supposed to achieve.
I want to thank every single one of you that contributes to this project. It means so much to me and I hope we can achieve big things with this.

My Name is Lina Ashour.
I'm a 19 year old, half German half Egyptian girl that grew up most of her life in Egypt and moved to Germany  in 2012. In the time span of those four years I finished school and started University. I experienced moving into another country as something very simple, I was fluent in German and had an easy way to get started with a new life. A life that is for some people so simple yet for others a whole luxury.

Love always wins. Our love will win.
THANK YOU!
