Friends and Family ,
Never did I think we would be setting up a Gofundme account to ask for donations . But here we are . And here it is. By the grace of God and if it's his will. We hope we can raise some fast cash . Fundraisers take a lot of time we don't have a lot of that right now.
As many of you know by now . Our great nephew will be representing the United States of America at the Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in August 2016.
I guess it goes without saying this trip is very costly .
We ,his family would like to go support him and help him represent the United States of America . This by no means is a vacation trip for any of us . We would be there 5 short days. 2 of those days are travel days . It takes more then 20 plus hours to get to Brazil.
We would love nothing more to see him standing on that podeum , the American flag waving and the National Anthem playing .
In order to do this trip . We need money and we need to book our flights NOW. Flights are booking quickly and rooms are filling up fast .
We have decided as a family . Any funds that would be left over ,if we exceeded above and beyond . We will donate to the Special Olympics program. This would be used for our flight and room only .
Any help would be appreciated .
Those of you who know us well. Know we feel extremely akward even asking .
