Help me get by during my job-hunt!

Hi y'all. Probably everybody here already knows me, but let me introduce myself anyway. My name is Anna and I'm a recent Agnes Scott graduate getting pretty desperate for employment. I'm a filmmaker, writer, and a musician looking for something even mildly fulfilling that pays the bills. I'm not asking for a dream job to appear, I just want to be reasonably challenged and interested in what I'm doing every day. I like kids, I like grown folks, I like being creative and active. But despite my flexibility and constant searching for a month, nothing has worked out. I have a few leads, but still no income.

I am running out of money to support my unemployment. Recently I registered to take a two-week class at the Atlanta Bartending School, where they guarantee help finding employment ASAP upon graduation. There is a Fall sale happening and I was able to register at a discounted price, one which I thought I could afford until I checked my bank account and credit card balance and did the math. It's a little too close for comfort. Unless I find a job today and start tomorrow, I definitely cannot swing the tuition price right now and still pay my October bills, but I really don't want to cancel the class and have to pay full price later, especially since they will help me find a job once I'm done. (And I need that yesterday.)

The class costs $500 and it starts tonight.  I can pay full price today or stagger payments across the next two weeks, but it all has to be paid before I take my final exam. Any help would be borderline life-saving. I am optimistic I will have work soon, but soon isn't soon enough.

I love my apartment and I want to keep living here. I love my car and I want to keep driving it. I love being a Decatur resident and I want to pay the higher insurance premium. I love my independence and I'm not asking anyone to support me. I am just asking for help getting the training and employment I need to support myself. If you have anything to spare, it would mean the world to me. I would be forever grateful and I would happily return the favor when I have the means, if you need help down the road.

I am proud and I like to be self-sufficient, but I also believe in community living and generosity of spirit. I try to live those values in every way I can and that includes having the humility to ask for help when I need it.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Much love and many thanks in advance,
xo Anna
