 ROCHESTER, NY
For over 40 years, Dave Rogachefsky has been giving back to the Rochester Jewish community.  Over these years, he has touched the lives of thousands of children through his wonderful athletic and camping programs.

We have been so very fortunate to have Dave as a leader in our community, and now it is time for us to recognize his accomplishments!  On January 21, 2017, we will be honoring Dave at the JCC Gala.  In recognition of all he has done for the Center and to allow his legacy to "live on" at the JCC,  we plan to create a mural depicting  Dave teaching children on the gymnasium wall.

Here is where you can give back!  We are trying to raise $18,000 (a Chai) for the JCC in Dave's honor.  If Dave made an impact on your life through his wonderful JCC programs, we ask that you make a charitable donation in his name on this fundraising website.  Every dollar matters, and we greatly appreciate any support you can provide!

To say that Dave had an impact on our lives is an understatement. He was with us from preschool, to every sport at the jcc and CSL. He was always there for us. He also always encouraged the girls to be just as involved in sports as the boys. Dave sure deserves to have his name on the gym!!

Dave was supportive of every child, he was supportive of me. Always positive, always engaged. He helped me become a more confidant young man.

Dave meant so much to us and to our son Ricky, especially during Ricky's "growing up" years. We can't thank Dave enough and will always remember those school sporting events Dave attended to cheer on our son along with other girls and boys. He was always such a devoted teacher, so dedicated to "his kids" and so generous with his time.

David, your tireless efforts to the enrichment of Jewish youth in Rochester over the decades is most noteable and commendable. The impact of your honesty, dedication and friendship is appreciated far more than you'll ever know. Thanks for making a difference. - The Fensters

My life has been profoundly affected by Dave and I am so grateful for his influence in my life. I started playing basketball so many years ago because he saw something in me and took the time to encourage me. Dave, from teaching me in daycare to attending my varsity games at Brighton High, you were a constant fixture in my childhood. I can only hope that my children have a influence and role model as great as you in their lives. Thank you!
