Shame on both of you

I read some of the comments. I just want to bring some clarity. I worked with funeral and cemetery services before. Life insurance does not come in quickly. It may take a few days or even weeks sometimes. And sometimes it may be deemed obselete depending on individual circustances. Losing a lived one is the hardest things that a human being goes through. It is not one I'd the hardest, but the hardest. I urge and plea with all of you to respect the family and friends who are going through their loss. This is how they are choosing to celebrate their loved one. Bless them and allow them to honor their grief. Don't bring more grief to them. To Emilio's family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will share something I always share with my own family. Honor your feelings. If you need to cry, cry. If you need to laugh, laugh when you remember him happy. God is with you, He will be the one to pull you through this. He did so for me.

The fact that people are commenting on this complaining that they have raised 36K is absolutely ridiculous and sooo disrespectful. These people just lost a family member and/or friend to a very tragic accident and all you can do is complain about money raised? People are donating their personal money to help the family. Honestly, who cares what they do with the remaining money. Have some respect. You should all be ashamed. I can guarantee that they would rather have him alive than the money. And funerals now a days are actually very expensive. We just spent $20,000 for my grandmother's.

Funerals are very expensive. My father was embalmed, then we picked a funeral package with coffin, hearse etc., and then entombed in a crypt as per his wishes. My costs for giving my father a dignified funeral was close to $27,000, with the crypt costs $9,900.00. On top of that I choose to have a private autopsy which was another $5,400. I never even thought of "gofundme", it's part of a family that lives to also prepare for dying and the final expenses. These three beautiful young men that lost their lives should be laid to rest in dignity. Personally I would not donate to funerals unless it's a family that all perish. But haters should not post derogatory statements of other who choose to donate. Just know it's pricey to die. Not all are comfortable with a quick cremation and the ashes in a box or urn somewhere in a closet. May they rest in peace.

But seriously.. Even if they raise 100k.. This young mans family is probably not going to be ready to go back to work right away... they can use the excess to take a little time off work and not have to worry too much.. and they may have some loose ends to tie up with his stuff.. Its pretty sad that people would even think about leaving a comment like that.. I really hope your family never sees a time like this.. Like others said, if you don't want to donate, don't but why leave comments like this when this family is already grieving.. Sad world we live in.. May these young men that died in this tragic accident RIP..

So what if 30,000.00 has been raised that goes to show how many friends he had. People this is not the time or place to be so negative the friends and family are going through enough pain. So please, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it.

I hope and pray you receive tons and tons of money . No amount of money can ever replace your loved one . To have people come on here and leave such horrible comments and questioning the amount of money being raised is absurd. It may be 8,000 to bury some one in Texas and 30,000 to bury someone in Florida whatever the case. For those who have the math all worked out for this family keep it to your self these people are not forcing you nor do they need your hatred. From my family to yours all the way from Texas God Bless you and may your loved one receive a beautiful going home celebration. May he rest in Peace.

Can't believe that some people are questioning the 30,000 dollars? Who cares how much they raise, no amount of money can cure such a profound loss and in any case if you don't want to don't donate period and go troll somewhere else! My sincere condolences to the families of this three young guys! May they all RIP

Emilio, I can't believe I just saw and spoke to you just a few weeks ago. We have only met a handful of times through Saymar and mutual friends, but I can see how much they loved you and how much you impacted their lives. I'm praying for your family, Saymar, & your close friends, hoping they can get through this sudden tragedy. To those scrutinizing the need or amount for the funeral costs, shame on you. What the family has or what Emilio could potentially receive is irrelevant, and his loved ones or friends can request and donate as much as they wish - that's the purpose of Gofundme - people are able to donate or not to their discretion. I hope your families never have to go through this.

Good Day, I have been reading some of these comments and really people how insensitive can you be. Regardless of where he worked what his net worth was, the Macias family lost their loved one. Isn't there enough negativity in the world? Por favor, acepte mi sincera simpatía en la pérdida de Emilio un hombre joven que había tantas cosas que pasan por él, de una familia de la policía a la otra. Puede usted encontrar la paz interior, que en paz descanse Emilio se le ha perdido.

Shame on those leaving negative comments. This was a young man who lost his life. No one is aware of his financials nor his benefits. I've had experience in lossing someone so young, unexpectedly. The financial burden is a strain. Especially when this is your son, grandson, brother, nephew or cousin.

To those heartless people leaving negative and hurtful comments, shame on you. A funeral does cost between 20k-30k, we buried my mother 2 yrs and that's more or less what it cost. If you don't want to donate or have anything positive to say to this grieving family, just don't visit this page and keep your dirty mouth shut. TO THE MACIAS FAMILY, MY CONDOLENCES GO OUT YO YOU. I am so very sorry for your loss. What an infectious and beautiful smile this young man had. And his obvious devotion to his friend is heartbreaking. Ignore the other comments. I can't even believe anyone would comment with the negativity to a family who has just tragically lost a loved one. To those of you, have you lost someone ever? I especially love the one who typed their answer directly from a google search on the cost. it can cost 7K yes, but it can and mostly does cost quite a bit more. add in the fact that he may have family out of state that may need assistance making an unplanned trip, accommodations and some peace for a family that does not need to be worried. Besides, if you are not donating, you have absolutely no business even posting a comment. Humanity is sad. Rest in peace young man, I can see you touched so many lives.
