Help VegansofLDN: Good > Evil

Donation protected
Hey guys. I'm Serena and as some of you know, I've been running @vegansofldn for the last year and a half, and I feel so honoured to be a part of the vegan community here in London, always helping each other out for places to eat, things to try, meetups to attend.

Last night (22/9) I was hosting an event at Hummus Bros and Yorica dessert bar - we had a great turnout and ate all the hummus! Unfortunately during the event, with my backpack literally wedged between me and the girl I was sitting next to, someone stole my bag. As some of you saw, it contained the new £485 camera I've been using for all things VegansofLDN for the past month or so, and also my driving licence, all cards, house key, around £50 cash, chargers & a battery pack, my trusty £3 super cool bumbag that comes with me everywhere (don't judge), SD card, camera footage (lots), jumper, second-hand purse, all my cruelty-free makeup (I wear makeup about once a month, this happened to be one of those times!), lots of meal vouchers (probably the saddest thing) and several personal items, totalling £1070 of the things I've remembered so far. Hummus Bros' CCTV is apparently not working at the moment.

As my driving licence with my address and my house key were both taken, I had to call out a locksmith early this morning to change the locks at home.

I've never profited a penny from VegansofLDN and fund everything myself, recently turning down PT clients and yoga jobs because this blog has taken up an increasing amount of time, which is great - it means an increasing number of people are looking to choose vegan options, and that's the purpose that VegansofLDN is here to serve.

I'm reaching out now because almost everything I use to run VegansofLDN was in that bag plus some things I was yet to review. If VegansofLDN has helped you in any way since I started it in April 2015, and you have just a couple of pounds to spare, I would be so so grateful if you are able to donate a small amount to help me get back some of the things I lost last night. If you're a restaurant or vegan-friendly brand, I'll thank you personally with a feature on Instagram even if it's £2. Anything will help.

In the grand scheme of life it's a small thing that's happened, but enough to set VegansofLDN back on upcoming projects.

Finally, if anyone saw anything suspicious last night please let me know. A million thank yous to everyone who was helping me search the restaurant, offered cash and Oysters, and to my friend who called me an Uber home. If you got this far, thanks for reading and thanks for being a part of the VegansofLDN community.
