The Monticello Women's Club located at 975 East Pearl Street in Monticello, Florida 32344 is 100 years old. It is a not for profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping the community it serves. It's membership is made up of strictly volunteers who give their time and energy to raise funds to redistribute them back into the community. Some of the things MWC supports are Refuge House, North Florida Community College scholarship fund, Sheriff's Department Christmas Bike give away, Relay for Life and more.
Our 100 year old club house is in need of a new roof and we just can't raise the amount of money required via fund raisers. We are located in a urban area so donations are hard to come by. We have applied for grants but the larger organizations seem to get better results. It would be catastrophic to the the house and the women's club if this historic structure would go into ruin.
Any funds raised would be applied to replace the so desperately needed new roof so that our beloved house can be safe and dry once again and we can continue to support our community through our volunteer efforts.
