Marc's Legacy

At the age of 15 the nightmare began for the Mc Cay family, shortly after a family holiday to Ibiza Marc fell ill with a virus that caused Cardiomyopathy which started to shut down Marc's organs. Marc eventually needed a heart transplant.
After 3 Agonising days Marc's family found a perfect match. Marc and his family went through a slow process of worry and recovery which eventually led Marc to live a life best to his ability. Marc still had to visit hospital most of his life and suffered alot of health problems. Within the last two years Marc developed more problems and at times his family were told he might not make it but Marc defied the odds many a times and refused to give up!
Sadly after 13 years of receiving Marcs new heart he could no longer continue the fight.
Marc aged 29 passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving mother Linda at 10.30 in the morning of 20th September 2016.
Everyone who loved and knew Marc will be in shock and disbelief at his recent passing as he touched the lives of so many people in and around him.
The Huge loss will always be felt to everybody who had the privilege to have met or known him as he was a bright, caring and loveable character who was an inspiration to many and will never be forgotten.
A loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Grandson and Friend, A passionate family man who would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. Truly One in a Million!
I am setting this page up to save the family the burden of funeral costs etc and also to raise awareness of what Marc and his family have gone through the last 13 years.
