A Helping Hand for Syrian Children

Hello,
I'm Kate, a mum and an English language teacher. I currently live in Italy with my family.
All of us have seen the horrifying news footage and read the devastating stories about the civil war in Syria, particularly Aleppo. In this day and age it can be difficult to believe that what we are hearing about, and what we are watching on the news, is actually going on. Right now.
Like most people, I've wondered what I can do to help. It's hard to know where to start and who to trust. But now I'm putting those thoughts into action by starting this fundraiser.
I've researched Save the Children .
A charity that's mission is to aid, educate and protect displaced and disadvantaged children around the world.

Work with Syrian refugees:
"Save the Children is working with Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Egypt, providing families with the basics they need, including food, clothing and shelter for children and families who are facing extremely difficult conditions. We are working to ensure children now living as refugees still have access to school, emotional support and recreational activities. We have so far reached more than 2.5 million people, including 1.6 million children."
Around 75% of Save the Children's budget goes towards their projects around the world. CharityWatchdog has given them an 'A' rating, the highest being A+.
What happens to the money raised here?
6.4% of each donation will go to administration fees, the rest will come directly to me. Once we've reached a good financial target, I will transfer the funds directly to Save the Children Italy.
Of course you can make a donation directly, but I figured one lump sum would be more straightforward for the charity rather than lots of smaller donations.
I pledge to send the money raised here, whether the financial goal is reached or not, to Save the Children in order for them to use it as best they see fit, to help the children affected by this war.
