Dear Friends/Loved Ones/Associates/Schoolmates,

Our dear friend, Marcus Edwards, Morgan State University (4th-year student), was tragically killed on Monday night, September 19, 2016.  While Baltimore Police Detectives are frantically working the case, we are left holding our heads, wiping away tears, consoling one another and asking God, "Why?"

Marcus was a graduate of Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools For Public Policy - Capitol Hill Campus in Washington, DC, a former intern of the Jr. Police Academy in DC and the U.S. Department of Treasury.  He also worked at Chipotle and was a proud student of Social Work at Morgan State University.   He, most definitely, had plans to become a DC Police Officer.  He wore the costume for "McGruff the Crime Dog", just last month, for National Night Out in the Second Police District, a place that felt like home for him, because of the amount of time he spent there as a volunteer.  Police officers shared the news today, in total devastation.

Let us assist his grieving mother and five younger siblings with funeral and burial costs and other expenses to get through this terrible time.

And, of course, if you have any information about his death, we urge you to contact Baltimore Police Detectives at (410) [phone redacted] Twitter: @BaltimorePolice
