Jericho Mobile Clinic is a non-profit mobile medical clinic going from village to village in Haiti providing free health care services to Haitian children, women and men that have any access to medical health care services.
Our team consists of physicians, specialists, nurses, assistants and others who all use their resources in a joint effort to bring healthcare to the rural population of Haiti.
Many of health conditions of our clients are preventable and curable.
We provide medical health care services, health education and seminars regardin the importance of hygiene in prevention of sickness and diseases to communities in Haiti. We also teach simple methods, techniques and approaches to use for prevention, healing and saving lives.
From October 18 to October 22, 2016 we will be holding medical clinics in the Region of Bainet (Commune of Bainet).
This region is located on the south-eastern shores of Haiti and consists of a population of about 120,000 people
4 doctors 4 nurses, 2 assistants for administrative duties, 2 facilitator and 1 driver will go to Bainet.
The total budget is $10,000 to pay for rental of a vehicule for 13 people including the driver, for food and accomation, for medical materials, first aid, small equipments, hygienes products, drugs for distribution purposes.
We visited the communes of Bainet in July 2016 and realised the urgent needs of the clinic by seeing and speaking to the people.Most people in the villages never consulted a doctor all their lives. There is only a small hopital in the center of Bainet far away from the 9 communes. Reaching that hospital takes hours walking by feet. The mobile clinic will definitely help save many lives.
We will need to have the money by October 12th, 2016 in order for the team to be ready and drive 5 hours from Port-au-Prince to Bainet October 17th. The Clinic will start at 8 am October 18th.
