Sebastian Bottomley's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On August 4th, Sebastian (5 years old) was admitted to Penn State Hershey Medical Center after suffering from paralysis of his right arm and both legs. This was most likely brought on by a viral infection that caused his body to damage his own nervous system, and is known as Acute Flaccid Myelitis. It is very rare. Sebastian's recovery time is uncertain and is likely years in the making.

After aggressive treatment, Sebastian is currently admitted as a patient at Kennedy Kreiger Institute attached to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD where he will endure 60 days of intense physical therapy. He will then receive another 60 days of outpatient therapy and will need expensive medical equipment (wheelchairs, braces and other physical therapy type equipment for home use).

Existing medical coverage is covering the bulk, but not all, of Sebastian's treatment costs. Jarrod and Christa commute about an hour to stay with Sebastian and have two other children to care for at home (Reagan, 13 and Ransom, 3). If you can help relieve the financial burden this family will endure, it would be a huge blessing. If you can not donate, please continue to keep Sebastian in your prayers. Please pray specifically for the healing and regrowth of his nerves and a decrease in his pain levels in order for his physical therapy treatments to continue progressing.
