Youth Year in Belize

Donation protected
Greetings, Everyone. I am Sis. LeTava Mabilijengo.  By now, most people who read this have see the viral video of me addressing a racist Family Dollar employee.

I actually hate it when someone provokes such a reaction from me. However, there are some public displays of bigotry and white privilege that can only be dealt with in such a manner. I am sure you all know it is not a reflection of my cultivation or refinement, but most certainly a reflection of my protective mothering. Our children need to see their dignity being forcefully (if necessary) defended.

I'd hate for people to only focus on the fact that my children were insulted in a convenience store.  Long BEFORE the unfortunate conflict, my children were schedule to spend extensive time studying in Belize. We are mobilizing to help them continue their next stage of development. We are raising money to start phase II of our collective building project in Belize. With your help, these youth will spend their next school year learning and furthering their development outside the racist grips of the United States.

Their experience includes sustainability, building, gardening, and cultural exchange.

Unfortunately, Sandra isn't the only ignorant racist on the internet. Their hurtful comments have reached the eyes of our youth, but the support of those of us who carry the fire of what's right refuses to buckle under the weight of oppression.

YOU are the village that has rallied around my children. Don't just share the video, support the cultural development of our future.
