Escaping Homelessness

Donation protected
Hey there, I'm Alexis; 18. Back in June of 2016 my grandma and I could no longer afford to live in the apartment we've lived in for what seems like forever, so we had to move out. We left behind 90% of everything we owned, childhood toys, pictures, just items close to our hearts, because we could only fit a little in our small car. This isn't the first time we've been homeless and I refused to sleep in the car like we did the last time because all it would do would bring more pain to the situation that I've tried so hard to not let get to me. So from the little money we had saved we were able to stay in a motel 6, then my grandmas sister told us we could stay in her spare room. We were so thankful, just to have a stable roof over our heads; to have a place close enough to my school so I could finish my senior year of High School. The only downfall with living with my great aunt is that her 50+ year old son who still lives at home. He's crazy. I wish there was another word I could use to describe how he is but sadly there isn't. One night he snapped and tried to kill my grandma and I. So we called the cops and they did nothing. So my grandma and I left. Currently homeless, sleeping in the car or a friend's house once in awhile.

I ask for money so I can afford a cheap apartment for my grandma and I. We have nearly no money, since all the money we do get goes towards medical bills and car payments, and it's hard to work since I spend so much time focusing on school. We have been surviving on food stamps and the help of some great friends. We need all the help we can get, and it truly breaks my heart that my life has gone down the path of homelessness once again and it's even harder when my grandma is battling illness (breast cancer and so on) with some help it could help us out greatly! Please, and thank you!
(I do work but not making enough to support)

(Update: been in this situation for months and still no improvements. Please if you see this anything will help.)
