Shelley & Ray's Last Days Together

Donation protected

My sister Shelley and my brother-in-law Ray are facing the sudden and devastating reality that cancer has won and Ray will not be with us much longer.

Ray's wish is to remain at home with Shelley and tick off as many things on his Bucket List as possible while he is still able.  Ray and Shelley live on an extremely meager monthly income, and both have physical disabilities.  Ray will soon need medical aids (ie, a wheelchair), in-home nursing care and many medications.   His Bucket List is humbling and includes a trip to Saint John and back on the Princess of Acadia - which is also where he wishes for his ashes to eventually become part of the Atlantic Ocean.

Ray's birthday is on September 7th, and he would like to have a celebration with family and friends that includes making his marriage to Shelley official.  They have never been able to afford the costs related to getting a marriage license and everything else that goes along with formalizing their union.  If you are religious, please offer a prayer of any denomination that Ray will be with us at least for that long.

Both families are committed to providing whatever assistance we are able, but we will need help in supporting Ray and Shelley.  The next few weeks will be extremely costly, culminating in planning for the inevitable passing of life celebration.   There are no words to convey how grateful Ray and Shelley and both families are for whatever support you are able to offer to help us take care of Ray's needs and wishes in the short time we have left with him.

Thank you so much for your love and support through this difficult time in our families' lives.

Humbly,

Michelle
