Enderson/Doescher Family

On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, Jaydon, a junior high student, made a tragic decision to attempt to take his own life and turned a shotgun on himself. God prevailed and watched over his child to prevent another teen suicide but Jaydon remains in the hospital.

Jaydon's story is not so different, he has parents that love him, even if they are no longer together. A mom that works full time, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a sister that watches over him from Heaven.  A blended family with love from Jared Flaherty (who has been part of this family since Jaydon was young) and Jill and Jared's 3 children, Dillon, Brooklyn and Hudson. This child is very loved yet depression grabbed a hold of him.

He is an eighth grader, who participates in many activities and sports. Recently he participated in the World Robotics Championships. He has a very bright future but because of depression he will need the support from family, friends, community and even strangers.

Jaydon’s mom, Jill has taken a leave from her employment to be with her son through his medical needs and recovery. Jared used all the available leave he could, but has since had to return to work.  With household income cut down and the expenses of travel for treatment, medical bills (under everyday circumstances, can be very burdening) this family will see more than their share of financial hardships and hard days ahead.

Jaydon remains in the hospital; Jill remains at his side. They are from a small southwestern Minnesota town and live 2 1/2 hours away from Minneapolis, where Jaydon is being treated. Family has had to stay in a nearby hotel in order to stay close by.  Jaydon has already gone through several surgeries and will have many more, along with therapy and recovery.

For whatever reason, Jaydon made this decision, we know that Depression does not discriminate; it affects all races, all sexes and all ages. Teenage depression is a very serious illness that affects millions of teenagers in the United States each year. This is someone’s son, grandchild, brother, friend, neighbor, Loved one. This child is no different from anyone else’s child. He is one of the lord’s children and the family needs prayer and support.

You may not know Jill, Jaydon or his family but for those of us who know them the Love is profound. There is no mother, who would do more for her family, who would pray and give what she could for others and ask for nothing in return. This family is strong in faith, strong in love and support for each other. Lets show that support now in their time of need.

So please donate to help support this young man and his family through the many medical challenges they will face. While you keep this family in your thoughts and prayers please also open your checkbooks, let us help this family get through this difficult time.

Share this to your Facebook page, write and comment on the visitor board. Showing Jaydon, we care, God cares.  And most of all Pray for this family.
