Hero and family lose everything!

In February of 2014, Deputy Robert Lundy was shot and nearly died whle stopping an active shooter at a car dealership in Perry, Florida. He was the 2015 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for his heroic actions that day.  He and his family have endured countless surgeries and struggles since that fateful day in 2014.

I'm sorry to tell you they are being tested yet again.  They live in Steinhatchee, Florida, and last week Hurricane Hermine destroyed their home.  Folks, they lost EVERYTHING but the shell of their house.  As the pictures above show, this hero and his family have been faced with the loss of a lifetime of memories in photos, posessions, and all those things that make a house a home.  The flooding was so devastating, their refrigerator was floating around the house at one point!  Many of their things floated out of the house and settled in the woodline when the water receeded. Their house has to be gutted, dried, and treated to prevent mold and other issues before the inside can be rebuilt.  This is a difficult task for anyone, let alone someone who is left with permanent physical injuries recieved while answering the call to duty and nearly paying with his life.

The money raised here will go towards replacing what can be replaced, and trying to restore life back to as close to normal as it can get for this family that has already endured so much.  Anything will help, there is no "too little", and as before, is so greatly appreciated!
