On September 5th of 2016 our family became a victim of the unfortunate crime wave in the city of Chicago, he was one of 13 persons that perished during the violent labor day weekend. My father has always been our rock and sole provider and is survived by my mother Esthela and 5 siblings, Paola, Marisol, Selene, Gustavo and George.
About 4 p.m Sunday afternoon My father Albertano Medrano and mother Esthela had just left home to grocery shop on the 4500 block of South Hermitage when three people in a white van began harassing him.
My father kept driving away from the van, when one of the passengers inside opened fire, striking him 6 times in the head, neck and back. His vehicle then crashed before coming to a stop.
My father fought hard to surive while taken to Stroger Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 4:30 p.m.
My father was a man full of love, dedication and devotion. We are seeking assistance to give him a proper burial, anything would be greatly appreciated even if it's a share or a prayer. Thank you all very much for your support and God bless.
