Hello, everyone.
My name is Richie Liberio, and I am on a mission to start a brand new club at my university. My entire childhood and adolescence was dedicated to the amazing sport of wrestling. Though hours of sweating, cutting weight, bleeding, and training may make some wrestlers be glad to stop after high school, I crave it every day. After arriving at West Virginia University, I found myself needing an outlet. I needed a way to let my stress from school out. I needed wrestling, again. In my freshman year, aside the countless hours I dedicated to studying, I spent just as many starting a new club at WVU. I was able to get over 35 students to sign up, and I got the club to be a nationally recognized club sports team. There is just one huge factor missing. . . a wrestling mat. Every single donation will help me get closer to buying a mat that we can use to practice on, and eventually wrestle other school's club teams. If you guys help me reach my goal of $10,000, you will help out hundreds of students over the next few years. You will help them more than you could imagine, believe it or not. In reality, I would need to buy the mats before the end of this spring, 2017. This is important because without mats, the club will probably not ever get lifted off the ground.
