 ATLANTIC CITY, NJ
My name is Coby Frier. i am a business owner and resident of Atlantic City,New Jersey. I have teamed up with PBA Local 24 to raise funds for Josh Vadell,aLocal police officer, father and friend. All funds we raise will go directly to his family via Matt Rogers President of PBA Local 24 to assist Josh and his family with his medical costs and time away from work.  His story is below:

At approximately 2:30 AM on Saturday September 3rd,Three thugs were approached by an Atlantic City police officer.Unprovoked one of these criminals decided to shoot this unsuspecting officer in the head. He is in critical condition and fighting for his life. He is a tough guy and the road to recovery will be long and hard for him and his family. I originally called on the local business community to raise funds amongst ourselves,to help out this officer and wife and young family and then I decided to hopefully go viral with it and raise as much as possible. Atlantic City is a city that media loves to bash...but undersatnd this,we love our police department and our community. we are under siege from so many different factors, but we won't tolerate someone hurting one of our officers. He is a police officer, husband, father and a friend. He is what being a "cop" means!! Please find it in your heart to donate whatever you can. I personally am donating $1000 and hopefully more.  There are so many great causes out there and we are inundated daily with causes we should all support but none as important is this one is right now. We need to send this message locally, nationally and globally for us to continue as a society,we must hold our police to a higher regard and support them in times of need. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES!!!

This page has sat dormant for a few months until the news broke a few days ago about the atrocities the state of New Jersey is doing to Atlantic City's Police and Fire departments and especially those injured in the line of duty. In this case Josh Vadell. Please keep donating but more importantly please LIKE AND SHARE and help us spread this message

THANK YOU

Happy New Year. It is 2017 and hopefully this year will bring some changes as to how " Blue Lives Matter". Let me say all lives matter but especially our police. It seemed every few days last year we heard news of an officer being shot and on September 3rd, it hit us all here in the Atlantic City region. This fund is set up to raise money for that fallen officer, Josh Vadell and his family. The Vadell family has asked that once Josh is better, if I can keep the fund going so it can help others. That being said we are forming "THIS BLUE LIFE MATTERS-THE JOSH VADELL FOUNDATION". That is what kind of people Josh and his wife are, in the midst of all this, their motivation is to help others!! SO PLEASE DIG DERP AND KEEP THIS FUND GOING, every dollar counts!!

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

Five more days to go until the New Year, 2017 is upon us. 2016 , good or bad will have passed us all. Well almost all of us. Josh Vadell and the Vadell family is going to have to deal with the drastic change that took place in their lives in 2016 for many years to come. Through it all Josh and Laura just talk about the future and how their lives will be dedicated to helping others. Stop for a minute and think about what I just wrote. Josh is still far from full recovery, he was shot a mere 3 months ago, he needs daily care, he still has surgeries and endless rehab ahead of him....... Yet his and Laura's main concern is to help others in the future.................. I am asking everyone to dig deep for the next five days, five days and donate everything you can find to this fund... $1, $100, $1000 it all goes to Josh and his family and for the next five days your donation is worth double ,courtesy of Matt Blatt Kia in Egg Harbor Township.

Thank you and God bless

From now until December 31st, 2016 , double your donation!! Local car dealership Matt Blatt Kia has agreed to match all donations up to a total of $10,000!! This is the best way to maximize your donation. Whether it is $10 or $1000, Matt Blatt Kia will match it from now until the end if the year. Christmas is truly the time for giving and I can't think of a better way than this.

Thank you and God Bless and Happy Holidays

Everyone is pulling for Josh. Our officers are just amazing and I don't think the general public has any idea of what the officers go through on a daily basis. We will continue our prayers until we get the all clear from the family. Please stay strong, you can do this. Prayers of strength for his family as well.

I'm. Let elated of his progress! I'm terribly I'm sorry I could not donate. I'm currently off duty due to sustaining a very serious Traumatic Brain Injury with resulted in surgery. Work Comp is not in favor of caring for officers, rather it protects the epmloyers. If I could have, I'd have donated the amount reququested! But I know my blue blood brother is card for, as evident by the tremendous support. Thank you and thank him for doing what we have had a calling to do, regardless of our own personal safety. I know this was a cowardly acts, but it doesn't change his valor, honor, or bravery for putting on a badge every day. Get well brother. You are definitely missed and I feel you'll make a full recovery. If I can, in the future, be of service, I'm here.

I completely understand raising the limit. I went through the same situation with no insurance and forced to apply for Obama care and didn't qualify as their plans were too expensive. They referred me to the state Medicaid, but was turned down for not being governmentally defined as disabled. I've been out for 15 months and have to pay cash for my non work comp medication for PTSD. I've had to cash in all retirement and investment funds to fight eviction 3 times thus far. I'm not posting to make this about me, but to shed light on a serious gap in a system that is supposed to be a safety net for employees. This money IS needed to keep him and his family afloat. He's been through a lot and the added stress of finances will dramatically slow his recovery. I highly recommend getting an attorney involved to and Le work comp. this helps tremendously and will ensure his care is covered and he doesn't have to deal with them. These usually end in a lawsuits cause there is generally a degree of disability, even if the disability goes away later. Work comp is responsible to cover this, but is impossible without a lawyer. Get well brother.
