Ann's Road to Recovery
During the attack, the 15 year old broke Ann Marie's cheekbone, jaw, eye socket, both of her arms and both of her wrists. Ms Belizaire had a serious gash in her head, leaving her with multiple stitches but thankfully she is in a better state and out of critical condition. Doctors are still keeping her under close observation. As for Ann Marie, doctors must perform extensive surgery as well as multiple cosmetic procedures to reconstruct her face and fix the injuries that were brought upon her. We also run the risk of Ann losing her eye sight, but it is still early to definitively tell. It will take months of surgeries, healing, physical and emotional therapy but we have faith she will get through it all. If it wasnt by the grace of God and Ann's strong will to survive, she may not be with us today but we are beyond grateful to still have her with us and she is continuing to fight every day.
Ann is a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and great person in general and we are so thankful and blessed to have the healing hands of the medical team at VCU Medical Trauma Center in Virgina, as well as all the thoughts, kind words, prayers, and wonderful gestures from friends, neighbors, and family. We ask if you could find it in your hearts to help Ann, her husband Alfredo Thompson, and her children by donating here to help with medical expenses and etc. during this unfortunate, difficult time. Any amount will help and our family deeply appreciates any contributions that you're able to make. Please keep Ann Marie and her loved ones in your prayers as every day will be a continuous battle. Thank you, God bless, and let's continue supporting Ann during her road to recovery.
Ann and her family are continuing their journey. Ann was released from the hospital with at home nursing care. She has a trach ( breathing tube) and a feeding tube. Her husband Al has not left her side. Please continue to pray for Ann,her family and for her full recovery. If possible I ask you to donate what you can to help this family. They have always chosen the path to help their neighbor and now let's help them! Thank you!
