Prosperity Shop Helping Surviors

Donation protected

This shop began as an outreach for Prosper Ortega, the young mother from Atlanta who was abused at the hands of her husband at just 8 days postpartum. A call for donations was met with overwhelming support. We hosted Prosper and her family for a day of shopping for clothing and baby gear for both herself and her son Ari in August. Every person involved in that project was moved to continue the work for other needy families. We have a temporary space and store set up on the West End. We would like to continue to help those in need, domestic abuse survivors and those in transitional housing. But in order to provide the needy families of Atlanta with a personalized and dignified shopping experience for the holidays including Halloween, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas. We need to have a more permanant location to store donations and organize shops and well as the means to establish a non-profit organization.

We believe every mother, father and child deserve good things, good experiences, and the dignity associated with being able to meet their own needs. Please help up be able to invite families to come shop for what they need in a relaxed, beautiful environment and take whatever they need at no cost. We hope a simple trip to our shop can help families feel joy and give them back a sense of control. We believe in sharing whatever we have with our community and always doing so with love and respect.
