Help for Lori's Journey of Recovery
My name is Sadie McNamara and I'm making this page for my mother Lori. As many of you already know, she has been diagnosed with stage 4 gastric (stomach) cancer. It is a very rare and agressive type of cancer.
This news was extremely shocking to hear. I can speak for myself and for my sisters in saying that it has been very hard emotionally to handle. My mom is staying strong and fighting her best every step of the way, but of course, this has all been a challenge for her as well.
Any money raised here will help. My mom is not able to work while she's on her chemo treatments, and the bills are already adding up. Despite the price of normal living, along with sending my little sister Lily to University at Buffalo for her first semester this August, the medical expences are piling up from the treatments.
Donations will be used to support our family in this time of need.
My mom is the most important person in the world to me. She has supported me in everything I have done and always encouraged me to follow my dreams. My mother is selfless and cares so much for every person who steps foot into her life. She has touched so many people with her helpful and caring nature, as well as her warm smile. It means a lot to me that friends of hers have already showed their support. We would all be extremely thankful for any added help.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this,
I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who helped us out so far. Between the generous donations and all the people that shared this through out Facebook. Its really amazing how far social media has come and how it keeps everyone together. My mom has been feeling really well the past few days and all this positivity people are giving her really goes a long way. ♥ please take the time to share
I am overwhelmed by the response and outpouring of support and love I have seen on this page, I want to first thank my daughter Sadie for setting this up which is going to help us tremendously as the bills are beginning to rear their ugly heads. An enormous thank you to each and every person who donated. Whether big or small, the support is the same. I was so touched by all the Little Tor Elementary School families, many of which I haven't seen or spoken to in years, who jumped in to help. My wonderful family and all of their friends who selflessly donated, to old high school friends, to those anonymous, to the strangers, the kids who have no money to begin with and every one else, I am truly moved and motivated to not let your donations be wasted. There are bad days and some good, and the fight will be a long one, but I am appreciating my friends, my family, the kindness of strangers and LIFE more than ever. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and you have inspired me to be a better person and to stay hopeful!!!!! Love you all, Lori
