On Saturday, August 27th the world lost a dear friend, a loving husband, an all-american coach and the proud father of two young daughters.  Adam Heck died unexpectedly in Albany, NY in his sleep doing what he loved -- coaching and mentoring young kids.

In honor of Adam's life his Ithaca College circle of friends have started this fund to benefit his wife Beth and his lovely daughters Alexis (8) and Madisyn (6).  The money raised will be help the family through this tragic time.

Adam was an inspiration to so many people during his 42 years in this world -- he touched many lives from his family, high school friends and teamates, his Ithaca crew, his community and his students - both in the classroom and on the field.  His passion for coaching and developing young kids was second to none and he was a world class adminstrator.   Outside of the field of play he loved spending time with his wife and daughters and just being outdoors -- he was an avid fisherman who caught the biggest fish out of the smallest streams.

We lost a great man who was a blessing to everyone that knew him -- please contribute what you can in his memory and share this campaign with anyone who might have been inspired by Adam.

For more on Adam's career at Lansing you can read the following article posted in the Ithaca Jounal.

On behalf of his family and friends thank you and God bless.

Hi Everyone,

I can't tell you how overwhelmed we have been with the contributions so far for this important fund. The generosity we have seen from close friends to complete strangers is a blessing for Adam's family. We are honored to be a part of it.

We are within striking distance of our first milestone which is to achieve $25K in donations! Please continue to spread the word and share the link to this campaign.

For those of you attending the services this weekend we look forward to meeting you and thanking you in person.

Sincerely,
Adam's Ithaca Circle of Friends

I would like to say thank you to everyone that donated to this page. Your generosity and kind words are overwhelmingly beautiful and appreciated. At a very hard and trying time in our lives, it is comforting to know how many people loved Adam and for a multitude of reasons. The outpour of love and assistance means a lot to me and the girls.
